Her comparable look with that of Madam Biodun Duro Ladipo otherwise known as ‘Moremi’ (wife of the late dramatist and theatre icon, Duro Ladipo) will easily strike your mind of a possibly known face in the Yoruba language movie industry. However, while Olubukola Omoniteni Sowunmi shares no genetic affinity with Madam Duro Ladipo, she shares a robust look, appealing figure and theatric passion for acting and drama with her.
Teni as fondly called by her friends picked interest in the movie industry right from her tender age and she has a lot to learn from the expertise of cross-offer duo of Olu Jacobs and Bukky Wright who also double as her role models. The professional touches and brilliance of Olu Jacobs actually spurred her to learning the trade of drama and movie making; and in her quest to acquire basic training in movie industry, the Lagos State University undergraduate chose to join the famous ‘Ray Eyiwumi Group’ in the year 2006 and since then, she has come to realize that one can actually run a crisp carrier in the industry with adequate grassroots training, education, passion and dedication.
Sowunmi Olubukola Omoniteni has a very humble background. Born in Lagos into a decent christian family; she had had her primary and secondary education at Command Children Military Cantonment Ikeja and Ikeja High School. She is currently studying Industrial Relations and Personnel Management at Lagos state University. During her brief stint with the Ray Group, she was featured briefly in some movies to prepare her for greater and more challenging roles. These movies include; ’Omidan’, ‘Awigbo’, Eewo Orisa’ and ‘Ewu Irin’. She later joined one of the famous Yoruba Language movie directors, Muyideen Sasiliu Ayinde who calls the shots for most of the flicks of the rising actress, Toyin Aimakhu. Teni also appeared in some movies including ‘Ayekanju’, ‘Egbekegbe’ and ‘Kolokolo’.
Omoniteni who is also into fashion designing has penchant for meeting people and exploring new ideas but detests lies and pretence. For the past four years, she has been putting much energy towards making sure her
